The branch displayed large images of past and current dinars…a 1947 Dinar note with King Faisal II was shown in the Basra branch of the Central bank display. Why did they highlight this past dinar note? Look at the rate for the dinar during that time period. It’s $4.86. Go figure! I do not believe in coincidences…”

10-30-2021 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat In today’s news we hear that Sadr’s movement for the future is the “quest during the next stage to change the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar”. This is very good news since now we know Sadr is in favor of increasing the rate of the dinar and will support it as his candidate for prime minister must then support it too. But let’s not make a mountain out of a grain of sand and go off half-co*cked thinking this means it is going to RV any day now.

They are looking at this point for Monday or Tuesday new values in all of my redemption centers…it’s going to be a nervous weekend…I did not expect this much news overnight…. I did not expect this much news until Monday…I am praying nothing stops, derails or slows this all down. It looks like by the time we get into Tuesday we will know people with dollars…it is not rolling out exactly like I thought it would…

10-30-2021 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Looks like Al-Maliki’s party will form the largest bloc. Al-Maliki then will be the one who chooses who is the next prime minister of Iraq. He is already stated in public that it will not be him. Time will tell…This…is very concerning. It is pretty well known that he is involved with corruption, has Iranian ties. He also had people working in the CBI funneling money from the auctions back when Shabibi was running it. If this all ends up being true and Al-Maliki and his State of Law coalition along with others form the largest bloc, I see this as a pretty significant setback to economic growth over the next few years.

10-30-2021 Intel Guru MarkZ [via PDK] Based on the chatter from Miami and Reno and Iraq…things are moving forward quickly… Many reports that bank branches are down, …There is something afoot in a big way…in Iraq – it looks like they are going to be “down” for 7 days. They could be trying to roll this out like they did Kuwait right now. We are hearing out of Iraq that they are moving forward…and the lower denominations are being announced on televisions…I am waiting for some translations to know 100%…It is very interesting what we are watching going on…This has been unreal.
10-30-2021 Guest Guru Godlover Laws…period. The new parliament will need to pass the 2022 budget. I know many will say that this is up to the CBI. Yes the CBI is in control of the rate…but the rate needs the budget. I have heard so many times that the budget needs the rate…that is fine, but that would also imply the rate needs the budget. You cannot have one & not the other. Everything monetary is based off of a budget…a budget seen or not…when they approve the 2022 budget & then open it, we all hope & pray the new rate is within it. My thinking is a new rate should all happen prior to voting on the 2022 budget…

10-30-2021 Intel Guru Bruce [via WiserNow] I know that things are very quiet – I know the redemption centers staff were off today …they go back to a 1 hour on call status (Friday) [10-29-21] …that means they could be called in with an hours’ notice to set appointments and possibly do exchanges …that is a slightly new time situation they are in now…they have been off the past 5-6 days – in the redemption centers…
10-30-2021 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat So, these rumors about Iraq having loaded the ATMs with the lower denomination are TRUE…Yes, there are lower denominations in the ATMS as they are the 250, 500 and 1000 dinar notes. This is nothing new and they have been used in the ATMS for years already…But these are not the notes we want to see in the ATMs. Remember they can’t just load the lower denominations that we expect in the ATMs and then not use the ATMs until the RV happens.
